#PollFest

November 1, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

November 1st is the last day for early, in person voting in Maine. What better way to be heard than to rally together and march in solidarity to lift up our voices collectively? This event is nonpartisan and free to the public.

Join VI VA, the Maine Women’s Policy Center, Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund, The Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center, Maine Citizens for Clean Elections, League of Women Voters of Maine, ACLU of Maine, Maine Equal Justice, and YMCA of Southern Maine to bring power to the polls in Portland!

The event will begin at 1pm in Congress Square Park in Portland and feature the music of Micromassé, fun activities, organization tabling, and (nonpartisan) voting information in English, Somali & Arabic!

At 5pm, we will march to Monument Square, where refreshments will be served and activities will continue. From there, Portland voters will be walked over in groups to City Hall to VOTE!

Even if you are not a Portland resident/voter, please join us as we elevate the voices of young people, women of color, and marginalized folks in this crucial midterm election. We look forward to seeing you on November 1st!
