Discovering Abilities in the Garden: Celebration!
August 3, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Calling garden and art lovers of all ages!
This event is a celebration and showcase of what the “Discovering Abilities in the Garden” program participants created and learned.
Background: Discovering Abilities
In July-August 2018, three UNE graduate students are running a FREE intergenerational garden and art experience in Congress Square Park. We’ll be digging in the garden, making art with natural materials, and exploring mindfulness while making a mark on the public space! Activities include decorating a NEW raised bed in the park, propagating herbs from the Reiche school garden, creating mandala sun-catchers, and making herb butter.
Kids, elders, and all ages in between can engage in these horticultural therapy activities that beautify our park and build community.
Open to all ages and abilities. Come for one night, or all 4!
Event times: Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30PM July 12th, 19th, 26th and August 2nd.
