Q u a p i c o presents “The Portland Hum,” an epic drone event to the heart of Portland, Maine. A six hour performance featuring six artists making ambient music without breaking the sound. The beauty of doing this event outdoors is the incorporation of Portland’s natural sounds; people’s voices, busy streets, and the rhythm that can only be found in this city. Listeners are encouraged to bring comfy seating in order to endure the varying sounds of digitally produced music, live acoustics, or singing bowls and harmonic vocals. This event is in pursuit of peaceful congregation and appreciation for the community, love for the healing power of sound, and enjoyment of dreamy music and mellow times.
